Construction Superintendent / Full-time job
Darlington Co. Habitat for Humanity is seeking a candidate with several years experience as a successful residential (housing) superintendent. The ideal candidate will have started in the housing industry as a hands-on laborer or carpenter then working upward as lead carpenter, foreman, then as superintendent.
Candidate will possess knowledge of all details required in
house construction. As an experienced, successful superintendent, this person will likely have mastered critical management and coordination ability of multiple sub trades, material procurement needs, site logistics, inspection processes, safety requirements, while managing any self-performing work forces (like Habitat volunteers), utilities, municipalities, designers, etc.
Running multiple house projects at the same time is important attribute. Project Managers/Construction Managers are encouraged to apply, but candidate MUST have critical, superintendent field experience (residential) as a base.

The Darlington County Habitat for Humanity is partnering with South Hartsville Neighborhood Association to implement a "Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative" to assist with the restoration of homes within the South Hartsville community. Projects will include the weatherization of homes, exterior painting/staining, floor repair, and interior and exterior repairs. The NRI program will give the South Hartsville Neighborhood Association and community members an opportunity to collaborate with Darlington County Habitat in the revitalization of their neighborhood. The program aims to engage residents of the area to volunteer and work together to enhance the quality of life for each other and all members of the community.
The initial funding for the NRI program has been provided by the Byerly Foundation through a $60,000 grant to Habitat.
