Darlington County Habitat

Nucor Steel Corporation in Darlington has partnered with Darlington County Habitat to build and pay for a home to be built in Darlington, SC

 

 

It was the life long dream of Melvin, Nucor Employee (Center Picture) that made the wish of a Nucor Habitat Home to come to reality.

Pictured to the right and below were taken at the groundbreaking ceremony on June 28th.  The home will be built using Nucor Steel for the framing.  This type of building material is called “Nucon” build and is widely used in commercial building.  Recent years it has seen a growth in home building.  This will be the first for the affiliate and the county of Darlington.
